I hogged a whole page of the local rag with my smelly unstockinged foot yesterday.
You can read the article here. For the next photo in the press, I will be sure to wear my new uggs. Which I don't actually own yet. This week I'm going ugg shopping. What's more.... I will be going back to Strawberry Thief for another blueberry macaron and a mocha. Nobody has to know. It's just between you, me and the internet.

DIGITAL RELEASE: "Damaged"
Gidday folks!
I have something very exciting here for you; I've been busy making music at home this week... my little country house has a bloody revolving door lately, what with all the friends I have visiting me all the time to write songs, jam, record their songs and mine too... or just sit around having cups of coffee and giggles. I am so very blessed.
Despite all my blessings, though... getting the money together to finish my EP has proven a challenge. Anyone who knows me will say that I am not one to do things in halves or cut corners, no matter what my circumstances. Neither do I like to accept too many favours from my fellow professionals for their services.
So my solution is to sit quietly here in my leafy little corner of the universe, and write you some songs to raise the money myself.
The sales of these acoustic songs on CD Baby are going to fund the last stage of my EP.

At only $1.10, it's something that everyone can afford. Out of that $1.10, the artist gets 80 cents. If enough people buy my little acoustic songs, it's going to get us over the line. Your continued encouragement over the years has constantly blown my socks off, and I sincerely thank each and every one of you for it.

Dudes, I seriously can't believe it's March already. What's more, my ducks are still eating lots of food and giving me absolutely no eggs whatsoever. I am beginning to feel a little bit used.

Bundanoon resident Rosalind Chia moved to the Highlands in March of 2010, and immediately set about getting to know her new music community, as well as spending time with those she was already acquainted with. She was enchanted with Bundanoon and with all the new people she was meeting, however, she noticed one thing; not all of them actually knew each other. Knowing the importance of networking in creative communities of any kind, she set about brainstorming ideas for a project that could unite them all. Surely there must be a way of bringing them together….? It was with a bar of soap in one hand and a loofah in the other one night that the idea of the “game” hit her.
Tag.
A series of musicians playing short sets, one after the other, each having to collaborate on the song of the last musician to perform, no matter what style it is, no matter which instrument they play, and no matter whether they’ve ever met each other or not. Unrehearsed and live. No time to breathe between sets. One musician tags the next, and away they go. Any musician may thereafter join the stage any time they like, playing anything they like. A kind of musical “theatresports”. All with two of Sydney’s most respected live session musicians backing them up; Steve Bull of Icehouse, and Jon Howell of Leonardo’s Bride (and more recently of blues juggernaut Chase the Sun).
Nothing like a bit of adrenaline to fuel a lively performance.

G'day!
Not much to report; things are cookin' along nicely. Life's bloody great, to be honest. My little girl is looking forward to Year 4, I have the most amazing friends that keep me humble and my soul strong, and while fossicking about in the garden one breezy afternoon, I found the love of my life.

So ...gday!
December kinda came & went in a drunken flurry of junkyard debris and heaving farm animals, didn't it? Did you all have a lovely Christmas and New Years?
Meh....... you're not actually going to answer that, are you? I am really only asking the token "how was your festive period?" question and nobody really cares how each others' festive periods were, as long as nobody died. You know it, and I know it.
So as for January, I have a coupla confirmed gigs:

I will be adding gigs to this list as they tend to pop up, so do keep checking this space.
I'm also working hard to do the final touches on my EP, so while I am doing that, there won't be quite as many gigs as usual. I am most excited to be heading to Sydney in a couple of weeks to bring the magic touches of Cass Eager to my record. The woman's family to me and I know you will enjoy her contributions to the EP.
Next month sees a coupla secret-esque gigs with my good mate Jo Caseley; due to overwhelming public pressure (from 1 person) we have decided to bend to the masses and go off on a few gigs as a winning duo. We rather enjoy eating bacon and eggs together, so why not perform together, I say.
Another project I am looking at launching is an acoustic mini-album which I will be recording here at home. The entire purpose of the project is actually not for profit; I will be raising money to assist my uncle in keeping his farm afloat while he undergoes treatment for cancer. Your support upon the release of my acoustic record will be so very very very appreciated.
